Funny Thing For This Week--You Have Got to be Kidding..
Folks..for this funny post..I would like to share a very pressing issue for now!!!.....(the suspense in growing..)Antique Shopping!...well I know..just lost the male audience...but anyway..Shopping for antique's..ok lets put these in numbers..
#1..You arrive at the antique utopia!!!..
#2..You get a game plan of which area to attack first..
#3..You ask the woman behind the counter if they have any carrying baskets..or better yet, carts.
#4..The gun goes off..and its every man for himself!
Ok..so lets take all of these steps and combine them into a horrific paragraph..of truth...Entering the store..you feel your purse making sure that you have your roll of hard earned savings..that you are pretty sure will be ablitterated by check out. Then you enter the first booth...and ok lets face it..(and try to say this kindly..)You really have to be selective about what you choose to look at...for example..Seeing a wonderful set of retro dishes..right next to an 80's demon doll..who you swear is watching you as you walk away...later you enter the next booth. Walking along...you see it..the thing that you have been longing for for who know's how long..running toward it..you pick it up..then after saying a prayer of thanks..and wipping away your tears..you with a smile take the dagling price tag...and the smile fades..the mouth drops to the floor...and the item is set down as quickly as it was taken up..isn't that ALWAYS the way that it is? Your dream item for only..$100,000,000. Then you pick a really ugly basket..(Looked like it came straight from the 1970's orange and avacato decade) only to carry the good stuff..Later arm cramping you walk on..Entering another booth..you think "wow.."..so many things to look at..nothing to choose from..moving on..you move into the next one..and to your horror..(or at least mine.)..You find yourself in a nightmare-ish..jungle of dol, pink lace, everything a ruffle, puppets dangle from the ceiling..(yeah those are fun as the feet get stuck in your hair..thats a pure joy..), Suddenly you look around, "NO!"..NO WAY OUT..lost in the old lady, 80's, pink, baby blue, big, big, big....HELP!..a way out..you run and finally you enter the next booth..looking back at the booth..hearing a *thud*.."mama.mama..." From one of the dolls that you knocked off in your desperate flea of escape..rolling your eyes..you press on..finally at the end you limp to pay..you have found the only 2 good items in the whole place...Ugh..moving on..
PS..and yeah.. now I know why they call flea markets by that name..I'm still itching..
Thank you.

\How can we comprehend the horror of that day? How can we even begin to imagine what that day was like? And how can we thank those who were there that day?...and are still with us today.....and those that have never come out of the Harbors shallow waters. How brave must one be to know that they would die that day and still fight with every ounce of courage that man can possess?
70 years ago today....2,402 lives were lost. This including soldiers, men, women, and children. The nation was saddened....only long enough to become angry......The Japanese had awoken a "sleeping giant".....and they knew it. America came together to avenge what had been taken from them......Taken but not lost....
On December 7, 1941 America wept...brave souls perished beneath the waves. How can we....the next generation even begin to understand the pain, the heartache, and the blood.....that America bore as well as gave?
The ear piercing sound of the bombs.....the spine tingling sound of the air planes above....and the heart breaking sound of each scream......That day, over 1,000 brave men gave there lives for the country they held dear.....a country they knew was worth dying for..."..the land of the free, and the home of the brave....." Brave they had been...and stronger America would become.
Now all is quiet......but...the voices of those who had fought that day...still echo in the souls of our generation to this very day.......and I wish to Honor them now...and thank them for their courage....and to let them know that they have not been forgotten.....nor any other Veterans of World War 2...Also at this time would like to Honor my Grandfathers...who served in WWII. One in the Navy and the other in The Army Air Force.
Thank you all.

"Why Me?" Funny Thing For This Week
Hello everyone! Today I would like to share with you something that has been going on in these recent weeks. My family and I are working out and are losing weight.....nothing wrong with that right?......Wrong! Losing weight is fine....but this is over the top! Example #1.....We walk for about 40 minutes a day.....I'm not just talking about a stroll in the park...no.....I mean power walk through fields and ditches....until you are ready to die. #2 Then...as if that wasn't hard enough....noooooooo.......then we are doing 36-48 sets of strengthening exercises.....leg lifts,...laying on your side and lifting the leg straight up into the air 48 times....up slow, down slow.....Then the double leg lifts...as if the signals didn't burn enough..we have to do this unjust maneuver with both legs at the same time without holding on to anything.....yeah. Later after you have passed out....then its crunches! After 48 of these...your neck is falling off..and your abdomen feels as if it is going to explode...After all of this is finally over..then we must stretch!...When at this point, I'm feeling pretty stretched out already....anyway..so touch your toe's and try to pretend that you feel no pain...as not to let the others think that you are the most out of shape.....then all is done and you feel as though you have accomplished something...and you sure have...The next morning..its time to awaken and greet the world...so we sit up.......ummmmm...we sit..uuuuuupppppp....*CRACK*.....*RIP*....aaaahh!!!! OK...so that is so not happening....ok...so we roll out of bed.....now that we are flat on our face........now..how to get up.
Thank You!

Moving Coming Soon!
Hello everyone! My family and I are moving in about 2 weeks. There is a lot going on right now.....life is crazy. There is also some confusion as to some of the decisions to soon be made. There is just a lot to do. But....I have often prayed to the lord to help us in our confusion......for as I well know....God is not the author of confusion.
Luke 18:27....... "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
2Tim 2:1.......... "...be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
The lord is faithful and true!
Prov. 3 says.........5Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight
And so....I will keep praying and hoping for more answers.

The Birth of Our Nation
It is necessary for the welfare of the nation that men's lives be based on the principles of the Bible. No man, educated or uneducated, can afford to be ignorant of the Bible."
- Theodore Roosevelt
Our Fore Fathers carved the way for our Nation to become a Nation.
"Intelligence, patriotism, Christianity, and a firm reliance on Him, who has never yet forsaken this favored land, are still competent to adjust, in the best way, all our present difficulty."
– Abraham Lincoln
Our country needs men who still believe this way still.
"The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country."
- Calvin Coolidge, 1923
Amen! For our country began with the teachings of the bible! There was no other way of life.........God took presitent in the lives of the brave men who with the help of God almighty paved the way and died for us to be FREE!
"Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience...without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure...If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under."
- Ronald Reagan
What he is saying is.......without God...............we are not a Nation. For we must ALWAYS be ONE Nation under GOD!
"It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains."
Patrick Henry
They forge the chains of a Godless country. But like it or not......we are not a Godless country....we are not a Godless world......He will never leave us nor forsake us! God be with us always! And may our nation NEVER forget not only what men have done.....but especially what GOD did and has done for ALL of us.....GOR BLESS AMERICA!

COURAGEOUS
In watching this preview, it is obvious that this is going to be their finest film yet! This movie is a symbol of what being a Christ following father means. It is necessary to speak out on this subject of immediate importance. Their have been speeches made, and sermons spoken,.......but now they are speaking through the wide spread medium of America today...the MOVIES. This will inevitably catch the attention of many people today. Please watch this preview..and go and see this wonderful movie premiering...SEPTEMBER 30TH.

Martin Luther
This video below is a symbol of COURAGE. When Martin Luther spoke out on realizing that God is LOVE and not a coin, the world started to change. He wanted the Bible to be a part of every ones lives. So, he printed it in a version that could be understood in the language of his people. And so, the people who claimed to have all authority on Christianity, tried to burn all of the ideas that Luther had instilled in the hearts of his people. He spread the word of the LIVING GOD, to who ever would listen,......and even to those who would not. He wanted TRUTH......and he found it in the word of GOD. He stood for what he knew was TRUE and would not recant. He answered to God's law...and not the worlds....no matter the cost.

Funny Thing For This Week
Hello Everyone! I would like to share with you the joy of....wind...but not just wind......picnicking in it...#1...You drive up to the mountains...all the while watching the temperature drop at lest 30 degrees from where you started from.......#2......You get out of the car and....well you attempt to get out of the car.....you take a yank on the door handle......and well...."it isn't moving.." you think to yourself. You also notice that the wind is blowing on towards you...so your brother opens his slider door with ease.....of course laughing at your poor effort......."poor effort...please! I think my shoulder's been dislocated!" You're getting angry at this point....you finally give one last yank.....and open it comes alright..........the force...that of an F-5 twister....your hair is straight back....your brother flies out of the other side....... and you can no longer see...#3 After you put your hair back....even though its already permanently back....and you finally find your brother who had been swept halfway down the mountain and into a prickle bush........you all grab the food and head for a comfy place to sit. Your mom is dishing out the food and calls for you. She hands you a stack of styrofoam plates.....suddenly a GUST of wind smacks you in the back and the stack goes flying.....Your little brother...while taking a bight of his 3 decker burger....yells.."Hey look..Frisbee's!"........You stand up....the wind still strong.....you stick to the car like a dead insect picked up while driving the highway. "What a dope." You murmur. #4.......FINALLY, you have your sandwich together....you decide to sit by a comfy tree......suddenly a mammoth bug decides it likes the look of your leg and crawls onto it.....keeping calm..(as calm as a girl can..in a situation such as this...) you take your hand off of your sandwich to swish it off.....and poof! Bye, bye sandwich........aha, the bugs gone....you open to take a bite....and bite into a nice flavorful piece of lettuce. You spit out the sad remains of a once beautiful sandwhich.....and stare into space...after the events of today..you think about having a funeral to dedicate such a once beautiful meal.#5...Well, time to go home......pack up the gear and all of what hasn't blown away....and head for the car......once again....a massive gust of wind swoops you and everything else you WERE holding....off the ground......you grab onto the first thing that you see....a long tree branch...(and wouldn't it just be the smallest, weakest stick known to man?) You suddenly hear a snap..."Oh great..." You yell.......Well you're on the ground again....."Well I give up." You lie there and start blowing with the wind...."Bye!" Thank you everyone!

Boys Town
Hello everyone! I wanted to share these trailers with you. When I was little, I used to watch these movies and they really meant a lot to me. These movies represent what every boy can be. The true American boy.......who longs to become a man. Boys Town, (the first film) tells the story of Father Flanagan (Spencer Tracey) and his dream to build a home for boys. And Whitey Marsh (Mickey Rooney) a boy who came to him as a 'big shot'...and discovered who he really was. Flanagan became a father to him...and a true friend. In..Men of Boys Town, (the second film) Father Flanagan struggles to make ends meat....and Whitey Marsh finds a little boy in need... and does everything in his power to help him. Stuck in the middle of what is True...and what is Safe....Whitey finds himself in trouble. But, he sticks to what he believes....and discovers that..."the truth will set you free.." These movies represent Courage, Faith, Determination, Truth, Justice, Love, and Strength. And what Father Flanagan stood by and built his life upon.....the belief that..."There is no such thing as a bad boy....."
You can find these films at your local library.
Thank you.

Do You Have What It Takes?
In the world today, people really don't have a reason for standing up for what is TRULY right. Well, at least they don't think that they don't. We have a DUTY to stand up for what is right. No matter what the cost! Would you sacrifice for your country? Or more importantly.....................YOUR FREEDOM? Would you do what is right no matter what the cost??????? When Jesus was on the Earth.......he DID what was RIGHT no matter the cost! When will we FIGHT for our nation as a whole???? When will..."we the people of the United States....." stand up together and defend the moral COURAGE and FAITH of our country that our fore fathers created. They believed that a nation without God was not a nation at all. When will we realize this???? When will we unite as ONE????? We are......"One nation under GOD, indivisible, with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL...."!!!!!!!!

When Will We Learn to Trust Him?
Some people think that they can trust God in everything they do. But, other people think that "well I'll just trust him with this,......and leave this to me." It doesn't work like that. In the Bible it says 365 different times to do not fear. So basically Jesus said once for everyday to not fear. If we have that assurance, we should be trusting him. That fact alone should be so reassuring that we should have no fear. No one in perfect. There will be times when you will be afraid. But God said..."who of you by worrying, can add a single hour to his life?" Matthew 6:27. What he is saying is....how will worrying help you???? Bad things are going to happen......so why are you worried about it in the mean time? God promises a sound mind. When we learn to trust him, there is such a freedom and peace of mind just knowing that he died for you and he will NEVER give you more than we can handle! The Bible says that God knows what you need even before you say it! "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. And before you were born, I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet of the nations." Jeremiah 1:5. God is always with you and you can trust him. If someone cared enough to die for you, you can trust in him
-Thank you.

Funny Thing For This Week
Hello everyone.....today I would like to discuss the art of dieting and exercise. Ah.....losing weight...so worth it...(in the end) #1 dieting....you wake up in the morning and say.."I am not eating anything today......" yeah right. Until it rolls around to lunch time....and instead of having the wonderful steak you made yesterday........you little voice says....."eat it!!!....eat it." On the other hand...."no! what about my weight loss commitment?" UUUUUGGGHHHHH!! "Is there no mercy????!!!????" #2 Exercise..........you have all the equipment ready...including a video. You put in the video and a perky and annoyingly perfect woman comes on and says...."are you ready?"....... You're thinking......"Well, she's gonna get annoying really quick." She continues........."OK......lay on your side on your mat and lift your right leg over your head. OK.......so what shes really saying......"lay down on the rock hard floor, and attempt to lift your right leg up that you can't even see over your Mount Everest love handle. #3 Continuing the exercise video............ After the longest 30 grueling minutes of leg lifting..(well at least leg collapsing) the woman on the video is perfect.....her hair hasn't moved....there's not a drop of sweat anywhere, and she's breathing regularly. However your hair looks like you got electrocuted, you are absolutely sopping wet, like you have just come in from a monsoon, and you are using inhaler's and paper bags just to get breathing again. #4......After your horrible day of exercise....its dinner time!!! Oh boy there is nothing like a succulent, juicy, flavorful, delightful, .................................celery stick. #5 The next day....it starts all over again...the annoying woman, absolutely no food to speak of......and the flies dieing from being around you.........a friend comes over for dinner and brings candy, cookies, and a three course meal. "I can't what about all that I've done.." and you look at the food....."eat....food......MUST EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" You tackle your friend to the floor grab all of the food and absolutely scarf it down! "What about your diet?" she asks. "I'll start on Monday." Thank you.

Funny Thing For This Week
Hello everyone, I am now going to discuss a pressing subject in my life at the moment. The common cold. Ah.....don't you just love being sick.......#1 You feel it coming on so, you take every medicine ever invented. And not one of them works. #2 When you are congested..................you buy the store out of tissues and hankies and ask them when they are going to restock . #3 Whoever invented cough medicine should be drug out in the street and shot...........although they probably coughed to death because it didn't work. (Sorry, had a bad night last night.) #4 When you feel so dizzy, you sit up in the morning and feel a little better......and then you stand up.....and I guess the altitude was different from the bed to when you stood, you collapse flat on your face......and fall asleep. #5 When you are so tired that you get up in the morning, remember you're sick and give up on living and throw the covers over your head. #6 When you are all of these things at the same time..............you wake up in the morning, and forget who you are for an hour........when you cough and feel like you are one more cough from absolutely going out of your mind.........when you are so dizzy you look down the staircase and which of the three that you're seeing is actually stairs....(geronimo!) And finally, when you are so congested you breath out of your mouth all the time and people ask you......"hey I know...a fish right?!?"
-Thank you.
-Thank you.

Funny Thing For This Week
Hello again ladies and gentlemen......today I am talking about a very important topic for today. The art of...............garage saling. Ahhh garage saling.......whether you are having one, or looking for the best bargain, these are the 'Do's and Don'ts' for garage saling. #1: when one is selling something such as a twin bed sized blanket for about $5.00....(which is OK) but when it looks like it has been malled by a pack of ravaging wolves and has enough holes in it to be used as a fish net......it shouldn't even be in the 'Free' box. #2: When you are having a garage sale, people can tell when it is your first one when you are selling everything from 1970 on. #3: When you go to a sale and the tables are full of everything but the clothes they are wearing, such as decapitated barbie dolls, a shirt that grandma moses threw away, a "brand new tooth brush", (yikes) trinkets, a phone from 1903 with only the ear piece.....just walk away......#4: When you are having a sale of your own and someone has a question about lets say a blanket that has some wear and a couple of stains.....you say..."well the stain is very easily removed and we don't own any pets.." what you don't say is..." yeah, two of my kids threw up on it, we took it to use on our picnic, where my son rolled his sister in it and dropped her down a ravine. We own two great Danes, cute little things, they played 'tug a war' and the looser fell in our pond with the blanket. I folded it up and we used it for a door mat for a while, and when I couldn't do laundry I dried the kids off with it and then we kept it in the dog house for a while. even though it was hard, we finally decided to part with it. ...........*crickets* .........The woman drops the blanket and sprints to the car in horror and drives away. #5: Finally, you go to a sale and you walk by a doll you give it a split second glance and make a gross face. A older woman comes to you and says, " I got'er in 19.......uhh..49 I think and she is part of a collectors addition, she's in pretty good shape".....Then you look at the doll again.......one eye is gone, herleft arm is hanging off, she's wearing a chewed up hat, one shoe that looked like someone had ketchup on it, her hair is jaggedly cut on one side and its naked. You calmly say without bursting out in laughter,........"uuhhh, I'll think about it......" You go to your car, shut the door and burst into uncontrollable laughter. The old lady looks at you in the car and talks to her old friend and says......" That's the third person today that's laughed at my shirt."......................Thank you everyone!

What Does Being a Christian Mean to You?
When we think of being a Christian we think simply going to church at least 1 Sunday of the month, and making an appearance in the typical American church. But what about at home? In public? What we wear and what we say make a statement about ourselves. When you wear a cross necklace and a tank top and a mini skirt, what kind of example are you setting?
The people of America think that because they have proclaimed themselves a Christian they can do anything, say anything, and wear anything, but since they call themselves a Christian they are better than those who do all of the same things but don't say that they are Christian.
Paul Washer said to read the Bible on every subject of your life. If you have a question about what you are doing, the Bible is where you need to look. Give it a chance.
Most people think that the Bible doesn't apply to today. But what people don't seem to understand is, if God knew who you were, and he knows when your last day is.............why could he have not seen this far into the future????????????
People sometimes think that if they do a good deed everyday, (or every other...) if they have respect, obedience....etc......they think that they pretty much have it together. Then when they are questioned about their faith and love and relationship with God......they say "well, I love God......and I pray...." But they don't realize that it takes relationship with God.
When we Christians think of ourselves as more worthy of respect than those who are not saved. Like for example, when you see someone walking by with shorts that come far above the knee and farther and we think..."uuhhhhhhh.....those shorts look very trashy....." We need to stop and think about how we are judging people when Jesus forgave the prostitute, and the thief, the tax collector, the doubter and.......all the people of the world. But we can't seem to find the compassion in our hearts not to judge people we don't even know.....
"Live in the world, and not of it...."
Just think about this simple statement......
Even if you were the only person on earth.......Jesus would have still died for you.
Thank you.

Funny Thing For This Week
Ladies and gentlemen, in this segment, I would like to share this experience. Riding a bike. Ah,.........riding a bike. You put your helmet on. You try to swing your leg over to sit on the seat. You swing it all right,........and you then soon think to yourself....."I think I'm going down..." .....yeah. So after you crash to the ground.....you take a moment to get over your shock. Then later after ten more attempts, you finally succeed. Your riding down the hill. "Ahhh, that beautiful breeze......." (Going faster)..."Wow I'm goin' good!".....(Faster)....."yeah!!!!!!!!!!!"....(About 70 miles per hour)....."uhh"........eehheeeeee......(airplane speed)......."HELP!!!!!!"........(jet speed)......"Our God who art in heaven how would be thy name........thy kingdom come...thy will be done..............."AAA!!!!" After your face is one with the tree, you try to stand.....aahhh...(feeling yourself) OK,..nothing broken...ahh..well..Yeah, so nothing is broken except your bike. So you and your injured ego squeak back home on your deformed bike. Only one petal is left....your front tire is a triangle.....and you have to lean to the left side to stay on the bike....you come pedaling home...your helmet split like a melon...but....25 years later someone walks up to that tree and sees it..... now your face shape is now a monument and above it is a sign that reads......"Don't Drink and Drive."
Thank you all!

Funny Thing for This Week
Ladies and gentlemen.....as much as I would love to share with you more joys about babysitting, I feel that I must tell about another joyful experience. Fishing. Ahhhh.....fishing. You are all prepared. The right clothes, gear, smell......etc. Then you cast. "Wow!!! I've gone so far, I can't even see it!" you thought. Then as you reel in, you feel something tugging on the back of your pants........"well, someones pulling something on me..." you think very stupidly.........."whats goin' on here??" you asked yourself.......you look back and see that you have given yourself the first self preformed wedgie.....After the very grueling task of unhooking your self and thinking.."well the first fish I caught was a dork fish." Later you cast again......you feel something....."I've got her now" you say..... you reel in and indeed discover you have caught something........half the tree from the other side of the lake.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen. And God bless God for making fishing a mans sport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What This Means To Me
This means so much to me! When a daughter of the King is not rich or a courtier, she still is worthy in the eyes of the true King!
When this commoner wins the Princes heart, not by beauty alone but by her beautiful spirit.
Thank you,
-Amy
